This space is for you if...
You are tired of living in survival mode. Tired of being strong for everyone else while your own healing goes unmet. Tired of spiritual spaces that don't reflect your history, your body, or your wisdom.
You are ready to move beyond exhaustion and self-doubt. Ready for a spirituality that can be felt in the body, practiced through ritual, and rooted in truth.
You understand that healing is both personal and collective. You are seeking transformation not only for yourself, but for your family and future generations.
You are tired of:
Carrying everyone else's burdens
Being invisible
Being told to serve but never receive
Spiritual spaces that don't reflect your histories, bodies, or wisdom
Being taught that your role is sacrifice rather than wholeness
Healing spaces that ignore the realities of race, gender, history, and power
This is a place where you can move beyond survival, remember who you are, and create new possibilities for yourself and your community.
Our Mission
Â
Soul-II-Soul Healing Institute exists because too many of us have been taught to survive systems rooted in oppression, extraction, scarcity, and disconnection. We carry those wounds in our bodies, our relationships, our communities, and in the ways we understand ourselves and our place in the world.
Our work is to help people understand what has shaped them, reconnect with their truth and divinity, and develop practices that support healing, balance, and transformation.
When people reconnect with their purpose, spiritual lives, and innate wisdom, they are better able to create healthy families, stronger communities, and more sustainable ways of living. Ultimately, we are working toward restoring right relationship with ourselves, with one another, with our ancestors, with nature, and with the world we are creating for future generations.
What We Reject
Spiritual bypassing is the practice of using spirituality to avoid, minimize, or explain away real pain, harm, and lived experience. It suggests that if we simply think positively, pray harder, forgive faster, or rise above our circumstances, we can avoid dealing with the realities of trauma, oppression, grief, and injustice.
At Soul-II-Soul Healing Institute, we believe genuine healing requires us to tell the truth about what has happened to us, our families, and our communities. For Black women especially, spirituality cannot require us to ignore the realities of racism, sexism, and marginalization, or the ways our bodies carry the effects of generations of harm.
Spirituality should support truth, healing, empowerment, and resistance to the conditions that continue to cause harm. Healing begins when we stop denying our lived experiences and start honoring them

What We Believe
Historical and intergenerational trauma can be transformed
Through embodied spiritual practices, ancestral wisdom, ritual, and conscious healing, we can transmute generations of pain into pathways of healing, empowerment, and liberation.
Knowing who you are is medicine
Understanding our true histories, identities, ancestral lineages, and purpose restores what has been fragmented, strengthens our sense of belonging, and creates new possibilities for ourselves and future generations.
Healing is the prerequisite for transformation
Healing creates the internal space necessary to challenge inherited narratives, make different choices, and imagine new futures for ourselves, our families, and our communities.
Healing moves across generations
When we engage in healing work, we do not heal alone. We heal backward through our ancestral lineages and forward through future generations. Healing is both remembrance and responsibility.
Black women deserve brave and sacred spaces
Black women need spaces where they can safely unpack the historical, cultural, spiritual, and personal harms that have shaped their lives, while being fully seen, heard, honored, and supported.
Rest, joy, boundaries, and liberation are sacred practices
Healing is not simply about surviving pain. It is about cultivating lives rooted in joy, reciprocity, creativity, rest, healthy boundaries, and collective well-being.
Black women are divine
Black women must see themselves reflected in images of the sacred. Black women are not separate from the divine, but expressions of it. Reclaiming our divinity is essential to reclaiming our power, purpose, and wholeness.
Meet Dr. Kimberly J.
I created Soul-II-Soul Healing because I could not find a framework that fully honored the lived experiences, spiritual realities, and healing needs of Black women. My own healing journey revealed that the wounds I carried were not personal failings. They were the embodied consequences of generations of oppression, extraction, and unresolved grief. Carried not only by me, but by my mother, her mother, and the women who came before us.
I am a healing-centered educator and practitioner rooted in the belief that people already possess the wisdom and innate capacity to heal. My role is not to tell someone who they are or what their truth should be. It is to provide the tools, practices, and sacred containers that support them in discovering that truth for themselves.
"I do not simply teach this work.
I live and breathe it."
What Lives Here
What the Institute HoldsÂ
Soul-II-Soul Healing Institute exists to provide accessible pathways for learning, healing, empowerment, and transformation. Our offerings include a growing Sacred Library featuring scholarship, sacred texts, e-books, and educational resources that deepen understanding of healing, spirituality, identity, ancestry, and liberation.
We offer Healing Labs, community healing circles, intuitive healing sessions, coaching, and podcast programming alongside courses, masterclasses, certifications, and cohort-based programs designed to meet people wherever they are on their healing journey.
Whether you are seeking knowledge, healing, spiritual community, or a deeper understanding of yourself and your lineage, there is a place for you here.
As the Institute grows, our vision includes the development of a Mystery School offering initiatory learning, ritual practice, and transformative educational pathways rooted in ancestral wisdom and collective liberation.
The Vision
The long-term vision for Soul-II-Soul Healing Institute is a comprehensive healing-centered learning ecosystem — a place where education, spirituality, healing, scholarship, community, and sacred practice come together in service of personal and collective transformation.
We envision an institute that offers everything someone needs to support their healing and learning journey in one place — including a Mystery School rooted in ancestral wisdom, embodied practice, and initiatory learning experiences led by Black scholars, healers, and practitioners.
At its fullest expression, Soul-II-Soul Healing Institute challenges traditional educational models by centering the voices, experiences, histories, and spiritual traditions of Black and Indigenous women while remaining accessible to all who seek deeper understanding, healing, and transformation.Â

Black Women's Identities, Spirits, & Spiritualities
Summer Intensive
Identity · Ancestry · Healing · Sacred Wisdom
This program is for women who know there is more to their story than what they have been taught. Through scholarship, spiritual inquiry, embodied healing practices, sacred texts, ritual, and community dialogue, participants explore questions of identity, ancestry, spirituality, healing, purpose, and liberation.
More than a course, this is an invitation to return to yourself, your ancestors, your spiritual inheritance, and your power.
What You Will Walk Away With
A deeper understanding of who you are
Reconnect with your sacred histories, spiritual lineages, and your place in the larger story of creation.
New frameworks for healing and liberation
Understand the relationship between spirituality, identity, power, and the systems that have shaped your life.
Connection to your ancestral wisdom
Develop a deeper relationship with your spiritual inheritance, your divinity, and your innate medicine.
A renewed sense of belonging
Black women are not absent from the sacred story. They are central to it.
"This course is life-changing because there is no other place you can go to hear your story. You really championed the course in a way that allowed me to feel seen, visible, and like education and knowledge was inclusive of who I am."
— Dionne
"Every Wednesday, no matter what happened, I would be in traffic and I would still log in because I did not want to miss one minute. When you log off, you're just sitting there because your whole understanding of your place in this world has changed."
— Keshia W.
"The love that I felt during the group, the sisterhood that was birthed there was so divine. It was sacrosanct. I am so grateful that I get to learn and share what I've learned and bring more women into this sisterhood."
— Goddess Dymphna
On the Horizon
In September, we will launch the Soul-II-Soul Healing Mystery School — a 36-week journey of mastery, spiritual development, and transformation. Together, we will explore cosmology, consciousness, energy, the wisdom of nature, the technologies of spirit, manifestation, ancestral empowerment, and divine union.
Designed for those seeking a deeper level of spiritual study and practice, the Mystery School offers an immersive pathway for cultivating wisdom, purpose, power, and embodied mastery in service to ourselves, our communities, and the world.
